中國科協(xié)“青年人才托舉工程”項目自2015年開始實(shí)施，旨在通過創(chuàng)新、健全的科技人才選拔與培養(yǎng)機(jī)制，從現(xiàn)有科技人才大軍中發(fā)現(xiàn)并扶持有望成為未來科技領(lǐng)軍人物的青年人才，為他們奮勇創(chuàng)新，脫穎而出提供舞臺，并為建設(shè)科技強(qiáng)國、實(shí)現(xiàn)中華民族偉大復(fù)興的中國夢提供人才保障。中國數(shù)學(xué)會獲得科協(xié)“青年人才托舉工程第六屆（2020—2022年度）”2個托舉名額。
根據(jù)《中國科協(xié)青年人才托舉工程實(shí)施管理細(xì)則》的文件要求，學(xué)會于2021年2月展開項目的推薦工作。到截止日期，學(xué)會辦公室共收到4份申報材料。經(jīng)學(xué)會辦公室初步審核，申報人均符合遴選條件并進(jìn)入到遴選環(huán)節(jié)。
經(jīng)項目評審小組對候選人申報材料進(jìn)行了認(rèn)真的審閱，就候選人的學(xué)術(shù)成就、科研能力、未來發(fā)展?jié)摿Φ确矫孢M(jìn)行了全方位的審核與評議，經(jīng)無記名投票選舉確定了兩位被托舉人人選。

Professor Jiaqing ZHONG was very concerned about the development of the mathematics of the motherland during his lifetime and worked hard for it. He has said that the development of mathematics depends on the active cultivation and selection of outstanding young mathematicians. He sincerely wish to establish a fund in China to reward outstanding young mathematicians.
